What is Work-based Learning?

Work-based Learning (WBL) means sustained interactions with industry or community professionals in the real workplace settings to cultivate meaningful, firsthand career engagement aligned to curriculum and instruction. WBL can be categorized in 3 stages: Career Awareness & Exploration, Career Interactions, Career Training Experiences where a student can engage in at any time during their college enrollment.
