San Diego Miramar College Mental Health Counseling Services Updates
In light of COVID-19, the San Diego Miramar College Mental Health Counseling Center is closed for in person visits.
Miramar Student Health Services will take student phone calls only for medical, nursing and mental health questions
Student Health Call Center hours are as follows:
Monday through Thursday 9 a.m. to 3 p.m
Fridays 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Mental Health Counseling Center now offers short-term supportive telemental health services via videoconferencing to currently enrolled students attending online classes. If you are interested in these services, please fill out this screening request and we will follow-up with additional information Screening Request. Be sure to include all your available weekdays/times (during business hours). When we receive this form, you will be scheduled for a phone call to discuss whether our short-term supportive telemental health services are a fit for you.

Mental Health Counseling provides short term clinical services to help students to optimize their learning and growth and help students decrease stress for academic and personal success. We work with students who are seeking help to learn coping strategies and problem solving skills. Crisis intervention and referrals are also provided.
Mental Health Counseling is available at the K2-102 Office. Our counselors/therapists are licensed professionals in Marriage & Family Therapy and Psychology. We offer a limited number of sessions. We will refer to community providers for those who will benefit from an extended therapeutic relationship or need long-term services, including for addictions or psychiatric medication. - Highly trained advocates are available 24/7 to talk confidentially with anyone experiencing domestic violence, seeking resources or information, or questioning unhealthy aspects of their relationship.

- Dial 211 from anywhere in the U.S. for information on local resources for food, housing, job support, health, human trafficking or disaster assistance. Can also provide assistance during a personal crisis
We understand that when forced to stay at home or near an abuser, it can create circumstances in which safety is even more compromised. During these times of working remotely and avoiding public spaces, victims and survivors may need to alter their safety plan. SPEAK is here to help.
Miramar College’s confidential victim advocate will continue to be available to provide resources and support Monday-Friday from 8AM-5PM at 619-541-5970. In addition, CCS’ crisis hotline is free, confidential, and operates 24/7. Please call at 1-888-385-4657.
