Outreach & School Relations
What We Do
The San Diego Miramar Outreach Office develops strategies and implements services designed to help prospective students gain awareness of the programs and resources available in making a smooth transition from high school to college, from college to career, and/or re-entry from work to school. Our office provides presentations, campus tours, coordinates campus visits and services to local high schools and events in the community. In particular, information regarding Financial Aid is disseminated in all outreach conducted to help students understand different types of aid for their education. Additionally, Outreach provides support to various departments and college events throughout the year to inform current students of the many resources available on campus.
Please note: The Outreach Office will be closed on July 12th and August 2nd, please plan accordingly.

Who We Are
Our Outreach staff is committed to representing the college in a welcoming, positive, responsible, and professional manner, while encouraging involvement in the advancement of the college mission from both campus and community partners. We also house Miramar College's San Diego Promise Program and it's Peer Mentors, for more information about the program please refer to the link under "Related Pages".
- Serve as a liaison, spokesperson, and advocate for Miramar College
- Provide Miramar academic and student services information to various schools, businesses, and the community at large
- Conduct in-person campus tours
- Facilitate college related workshops and presentations
- Assist in the planning/implementation of special activities
- Help facilitate various pre-enrollment services
Promise Program Peer Mentors:
- Serve as group leaders for new Promise students
- Help Promise students make connections at Miramar that support their interests and needs
- Introduce students to college services, college activities, clubs, & organizations
- Refer Promise students to college services
- Help Promise students understand the academic & social demands of college life

Tours are led by our friendly Student Ambassadors who will walk you around our beautiful campus. Feel free to ask them questions as they can provide you their firsthand experience as a Miramar student. Tours last approximately 60-90 minutes so please plan accordingly.
To Sign Up:
Step 1: Submit the form below as we are unable to provide walk-in tour requests. Once you submit your request, our office will contact you within 48 hours.
Step 2: Reply to the tour email. Your tour is confirmed only once you reply to the tour email from our office.
Step 3: You are confirmed! Please check-in 15 minutes before your scheduled tour time.
Late Policy: If you are more than 5 minutes late, we will begin the tour and ask you to please reschedule for another day.

Please Note: The availability of tours is subject to change due to Miramar College events/programs. We also do not offer tours during our Winter Break, Spring Break, other holiday closures, or weekends.
Tour requests must be submitted at least two business days in advance of the requested tour date.
For groups of 10 or more, complete a request form so we can best coordinate your visit. For planning purposes, please submit at least 4 weeks in advance if you will be requesting career education program presentations.
Please note: Large group tours will not be guaranteed during our peak periods.
